Responsibilities

Due to continued growth, Enercon's Nuclear Service Group is seeking an Engineering Site Lead to join the team based in our Waterford, CT location(s).

Responsibilities (including but are not limited to):

  • Preparing and/or reviewing design change packages and other engineering deliverables
  • Coordinating attendance at design review meetings
  • Coordinating site deliverable reviews and approvals
  • Performing/assisting with walk-downs and data gathering
  • Tracking project schedules and resource loading
  • Performing pre-job safety briefs
  • Developing/identifying new business opportunities
  • Leading weekly client interface/project status meetings and providing other on-site support, as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications / Skills: 

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Electrical or Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in nuclear power
  • Experience with nuclear power plant systems and design processes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Southern Company/Farley Plant design and/or site experience preferred
  • Project Management experience beneficial
  • Design Engineering experience necessary, field experience beneficial
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policies.
  • Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sites 

Must be legally eligible to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.
