Lead the business to integrate statistical methods, probabilistic approaches, and modeling techniques to increase customer value, reduce uncertainty, and deliver quality products. This is an extremely collaborative and consultation-based role that requires providing rapid issue assessment, logical analysis, and clear presentation.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Deliver analysis in all areas of Data Science and Applied Statistics with ability to assess Operations Research activities.
  • Communicate to teams delivering design, manufacturing, assembly, test, field, and repair activities.
  • Integrate analysis with safety regulation concerns and able to drive resolution through safety processes.
  • Train on the statistical aspects of APQP and Robust Design.
  • Uses LEAN tools and approaches, including decision theory.
  • Coaching others on clear and appropriate communication to regulators and customers.
  • Leads coaching, mentoring, and training activities for all data science and statistical employees across the organization.
  • Recruits and mentors diverse candidates and leads their talent development processes.
  • Facilitates a culture of psychological safety where all voices are heard, respected and encouraged.
  • Leads projects through risk evaluation, consensus building, and collaborative decision making.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aero or Astro Engineering or equivalent industrial experience.
  • 15 years' experience in engineering design, quality or industrial

Desired Characteristics

  • Master of Science in Data Science or Applied Statistics
  • Innovative leader with a demonstrated ability to guide complex projects
  • Recognized expert in Data Science and Applied Statistics and has working knowledge in Operations Research.
  • Knowledgeable of safety regulation concerns and able to drive resolution using safety processes.
  • Knowledgeable of APQP, Robust Design, and LEAN processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate risk, build consensus, and involve appropriate functions to make clear decisions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
