We have an exciting new opportunity in the Tax Department. This International Sr Tax Analyst position provides an opportunity to grow your tax career within an industry setting. You will play a key role in our international corporate tax compliance and US Tax accounting reporting process. In addition, you will offer support on International tax audits and partner with legal, business and finance to identify tax planning opportunities.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work towards completing?

  • Have the ability to operate independently to manage the compliance requirements for your assigned entities and ensure tax filing deadlines and tax payments deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develop strong working relationships both within the International Tax team and with other business units.
  • Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to internal existing processes to help drive efficiencies.

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

As part of the International Tax Team you can expect a variety of the following assignments:

  • You will be involved in the International Corporate tax compliance process which will include collaborating with VMware Finance and our external advisors for assigned foreign entities, including review of corporate tax returns, tax computations, research & development credit calculations and transfer pricing returns
  • Prepare and review of corporate tax payments
  • Assist with County by County Reporting notification and filings
  • Partner with the VMware Transfer Pricing team to support Transfer Pricing Documentation requirements
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly tax accounting deliverables to the US Tax Accounting Group.
  • Prepare data analytics / trend analysis and present to senior management.
  • Assist with foreign country tax audits
  • Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to internal existing processes
  • Maintain knowledge of global tax legislation by keeping up to date with new tax laws, regulations and directives
  • You will be involved in ad hoc tax projects which may arise such as, assisting with the set-up of new legal entities or integration of acquired entities or transfer pricing projects.
