Essential Duties
The Field I&E Intern will collaborate with various groups and field personnel within the division. Specific areas of responsibility will vary depending upon the particular job assignment, but general responsibilities may include:
- Work with a variety of instrumentation and electrical devices that support various operations. This may include installation, removal, and troubleshooting I&E devices
- Understanding general equipment and functions
- Gain firm understanding of general production operations and process flow
- Learn cause and effect purpose and application
- Understand communication from device to RTU to SCADA
- Exposure to other different field groups (e.g. maintenance, measurement, facilities, artificial lift, production operations, etc.)
- Working with engineering and operations teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment and communications problems
- Contribute to value adding projects to optimize operations
- General roustabout work
- Gain exposure to field operations
