What we are we looking for: 

We have a great opportunity for you to join our Luxembourg-based Global Real Estate business, in our Fund Accounting department as an experienced Controller or Assistant Controller, depending on experience to date. You will report to a Senior Controller and will collaborate with a variety of teams within and outside of fund accounting. You will be part of a well-established team, where support and technical development opportunities will be available to you.

The Role will assume responsibility for all management and financial accounting and reporting of assigned funds and their subsidiaries, provide financial analysis to non-financial colleagues and manage accountants.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring production of timely and accurate consolidated monthly/quarterly financial reports for real estate funds (including IFRS/Fund GAAP/INREV adjustments, deferred tax and revaluation of financial instruments and validation of quarterly accounts of the Luxembourg and non-Luxembourg subsidiaries in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures), either taking full ownership and/or providing support to the team on complex structures/mandates.
  • Preparation of cashflow statements and be involved in the preparation of acquisition and disposal accounting for share and asset deal.
  • Reviewing of reporting packages under local GAAPs and IFRS prepared by the internal and/or external accountants
  • Planning and managing the fund audit processes
  • Participation in ad hoc projects, including development/update of internal policies/procedures, implementation of the consolidation software for allocated mandates.
  • Providing guidance and training to the team members, participate to their development.

What you can bring: 

  • You’ll need experience in a similar position, including experience of providing Financial Control across a group of companies and preparing consolidations under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Proven experience preferably gained within the real estate sector.
  • Sound and up to date knowledge of IFRS and Lux GAAP.
  • Knowledge of auditing and local corporate and VAT taxation requirements.
  • Great communication and collaboration skills along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stay calm under pressure.
  • You will have strong analytical and presentation skills and the ability to work as a responsive team player.
