Overseas the activities in the QC and Process Laboratories.
Coordinates and controls the quality management activities in the Polymer Dispersion Plant (PDP).
Main Tasks:
Supervise the release of raw materials and finished products.
Supervise the implementation of testing procedures received from BASF SE or from other BASF Groups.
Supervise the continuous improvement of testing procedures.
Sets specifications for products in case specifications from BASF Group are unavailable or inappropriate due to local requirements.
Processes customers' complaints and puts the data in the NCM system.
Consult the respective Application Lab and Regional or BASF SE experts in case quality-related problems can not be clarified internally.
Controls the quality management activities of the Production Department, e.g. by:
Reviewing new releases of batch cards.
Assessing the effects of the corrective and preventive actions.
Controls the quality management activities of the Maintenance Department, e.g., by reviewing the results of its periodical calibration work in the production area.
Control the design activities of the Process Laboratory.
Together with the Plant Manager, to define the objectives in:
Modifying selected products according to the customer's requirements.
Developing production processes in the mini-plant and the glass reactors.
Test production procedures in the process laboratory prior to scale-up in the production department.
To counter-check results of the Maintenance Department's activities, i.e., whether production equipment is being maintained as required by:
Safety and environmental standards set by Indonesian governmental authorities.
Safety and environmental standards set by BASF SE.
Regulations and quality system procedures set by PT BASF Indonesia.
Represents PDP to the Quality Management Executive regarding ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and all other quality and environmental management-related activities.
Manages the Procedures Manual of PDP.
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
Working Experience: minimum 7 years in the chemical industry, out of which at least 3 years should have been in a managerial role handling Production / Quality Assurance.
Technical & Professional Knowledge:
Sound technical knowledge in all production / QA-related functions.
A very high level of initiative to get the work done.

Good knowledge of computers: SAP, statistical software for the design of experiments, etc.
