Company Brief: NASH is one of the Business Division of Ingersoll Rand with the products ranges of Liquid ring vacuum pumps (LRVP’S), Liquid ring compressors, Standard LRVP packages, Engineered vacuum & compressor systems, Steam jet air ejectors (SJAE’S), Condensers - barometric & surface types, Hybrid Vacuum Systems (i.e., LRVP’s with 1st stage(s) of ejectors or blowers).

Main purpose of the role:

Design and develop package , components and Piping for Liquid Ring Vacuum pump and compressors. Detail drawings and define materials based on strength and surface finish requirements. Liaise with Fabrication team, suppliers to ensure components are manufactured to drawing.

Lead on bills of material and assembly drawings, liaise with project team to ensure all required information is available to allow full specification of complete package development.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

• Issuing technical plant drawings and documents according to the instructions from the Project manager / Project engineer.
• Plant layout drawings such as pipe-layout, pipe-routing for Liquid Ring Vacuum pump and compressor and its axilliaries.
• 3D-Modelling on Autodesk Inventor
• Piping and Instrumentation (PID) diagrams
• General Arrangement (GA) drawings
• Foundation drawings
• Isometric drawings
• Skid-frame and support drawings
• As built revisions of issued drawings
• Supporting the Project Manager / Project Engineer for specification of package and plant components.

Scope

• Design and develop components / package forLiquid ring vacuum pump, compressor, Blowers etc.
• Lead on complete package design for process application e.g Pump , Motor , Cooler, Seprator, piping, tubing , Instruments etc.
• Produce detailed part drawings, including all information required for sourcing team to effectively select suppliers.
• Produce and detail assembly drawings, work with production team to ensure all required information is available to support reliable production planning.
• Producing functional correct PID diagrams in collaboration with Project Manager /Project Engineer and I&C engineers.
• Producing isometric pipe layouts, supports and materials lists.
• Assisting during compilation of customer and supplier documentation.
• Dimensional check of manufacturing drawings provided by suppliers and integration in 3D modelling.
• Supporting application Engineering and Sales for sales-purposes.

Planning

• Produce a full range of documentation and ensure suitable change control is implemented.
• Prepare material masters and bills of material and other ERP data as necessary.
• Monitor the progress of project equipment through design and build process and help resolve any issues impacting progress.Cost Management
• Monitor project costs and/or adjustments, paying attention to the original targets set and advising management when deviations occur.
• Visit suppliers as necessary to ensure good technical understanding/compliance.

Timelines

• Develop project time estimates and product cost comparisons and selects materials, commercial parts and technical data.

Production

• May oversee production processes, suggesting changes in working methods or sequences in order to improve efficiencies of project timelines.

Documentation

• Co-ordinates and maintains all Engineering documents and design change information at the facility.
• Creates functional descriptions/procedures for specific projects.

Quality

• Follows ISO guidelines regarding design and production of new/revised products. Assists manufacturing and quality control in correcting any problems encountered in the machine shop or on the assembly floor.

Essential skills

• Having good knowledge of ASME / ASTM / API Standards.
• Experience with over all Package design and integration of multiple components.
• Competent with Industry recognised parametric CAD system (Auto desk Inventor etc.)
• Good knowledge on design of package subsystem according to process gas application.
• Experience with geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing and identification.
• Managing complete project with good project management skills.

Personal Skills

• A very good knowlegde of English language (written and spoken).
• Proactive, self-motivating with ability to develop own priorities
• Conversant with Microsoft tools – Word; Excel; PPT; MSP
• Ready to travel for domestic or overseas based on need of business

Education and Experience

8-12 years experience after Diploma / Graduation in Design Engineering or Product Development.
