The Tax Analyst prepares and files tax returns, ensuring that they are in compliance with local, state, and federal laws. This includes collecting and preparing tax data, reviewing returns, performing tax research, and maintaining records.

General Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file tax returns and review the documents for accuracy 
  • Maintain and reconcile all tax general ledger accounts and evaluate all account balances and prepare all tax returns and schedule for same and perform regular audits on all tax returns
  • Analyze all accounting information and prepare required paperwor
  • Analyze all work papers to ensure accuracy and analyze all accounting and tax information and ensure compliance with all regulations
  • Maintain all accounting and tax information
  • Evaluate all work papers and prepare draft of all state return within timeframe and recommend improvements for same and prepare financial statements for all income tax details
  • Administer and ensure compliance to all monthly activities
  • Stay up to date on all tax laws and changes
  • Analyze all transactions and recommend alternatives to same and provide efficient response to all tax inquiries and provide required certificates for same

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree and 4-6 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree) or a higher level degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Doctorate degree)
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
