Cognizant is creating Generative AI (GenAI) solutions for clients across a spectrum of industries including energy & utilities, manufacturing, life sciences, tech, automotive and logistics. As a key area of growth for the company, our GenAI strategy, capabilities and relationships are rapidly expanding in both customer and partner arenas. As the productivity and differentiation benefits of GenAI become more prevalent in the markets we serve, and other trends drive an inflection point in the industry, Cognizant is taking advantage of the opportunity and looking for a leader to be the central point driving this forward for our Industry and IOT practice area.
Purpose of the Role:
Coordinate with both offering leaders and delivery leaders, be the central point of drive for our GenAI efforts.
Maintain a GenAI technology and market strategy aligned to market trends, customer needs, and practice strategy.
Work closely with clients, sales teams, consulting teams, and SMEs to position and win new business.
Collaborate with partners and alliances team to bundle partner products and solutions as part of the offering.
Drive marketing team in packaging the offering for internal and external consumption.
Work closely with delivery teams to identify expansion opportunities and identify potential software productivity tools to increase efficiency.
Core Responsibilities
Driving results for the business by growing a pipeline and supporting the flow of opportunities through sales and into delivery with responsibility for total contract value (TCV) and revenue.
Travel and participate in client presentations and partner events.
Understand trends in the GenAI landscape and know how to prioritize and apply them to our offerings and projects.
Work with our client-facing sales teams to understand business needs, pressure points in specific market verticals for developing specific solutions.
Additional Responsibilities
Collaborate with sales team to identify, qualify, shape, and capture new deals.
Work directly with clients across both a pre-sales and billable capacity to drive solutioning, ensure successful engagement starts, and support delivery teams in generating lasting value.
Help design and support execution of thought leadership and marketing activities to generate demand.
Ensure proposals and RFP responses are competitive and differentiated.
Work across the company as the representative GenAI ambassador for the Industry+ practice area.
Domain Skills
10+ years of leadership experience in a services or consulting capacity, working closely with senior client executives in areas of emerging transformational technology.
Specific relevant experience in engineering, IOT, industrial software, or other similar area, combined with current knowledge and an informed point of view based on technical knowledge and experience with Generative AI
Strong analytical skills with ability to review relevant data and use it to reach informed conclusions.
Acknowledged thought leader with ability and desire to speak in small and large groups, and at conferences.
Effective communicator in technical as well as VP-level discussions.
Master’s degree in business or technology desired or equivalent combination of degree and experience.
Exceptionally curious and continuously learning especially in Generative AI and its potential and development.
Technical Skills
Ability to apply transformational emerging technologies to real business problems in way that produces commercial results for the client and revenue for the company.
Technology transformation advisor for key clients & prospects.
Experience in positioning and solutioning GenAI into larger enterprise systems.
Problem solving, solution architecture and/or critical thinking skills.
Work Authorization
Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Compensation: - The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $180,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
