Our Personal Lines Actuarial department is seeking an Actuarial Manager or Director to join our growing team.
This is a full time, exempt role.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This leader will be responsible for managing one or more pricing actuaries within our Personal Lines actuarial state pricing team, reporting directly to the AVP Actuary for Personal Lines state pricing. This is a highly visible position, with day-to-day responsibility for all pricing activities for roughly 1/3rd of The Hanover’s $2B Personal Lines business.
The leadership role provides overall management and technical oversight to one or more analysts with varying degrees of experience and is expected to take on a more hands on approach when required.
This role requires partnership across the Personal Lines actuarial team, as well as the broader organization including Personal Lines State Management, Underwriting, Product, Technology, and Finance. Direct responsibilities include managing rate reviews with an eye towards process improvement, loss ratio planning, supporting product development, and leveraging analytics to advance more sophisticated pricing strategies and solutions.
