We are seeking a dynamic and growth-oriented Manager of Corporate Finance & Strategy as we scale the Finance function at OpenGov. The Manager of Corporate Finance & Strategy will play a central role in three components of the Finance function: consolidated planning and reporting; finance partnership with G&A functions; and strategic finance initiatives, such as product profitability, capital allocation, and M&A. The ideal candidate is a driven, strategic thinker with a proven track record in financial modeling and in the ability to provide insights that support informed decision making. This position will report directly to the Director, Corporate Finance & Strategy and will frequently collaborate with the VP of Finance, the CFO, and the executive team.

  • G&A Finance Partnership: serve as an effective business partner to the CHRO, CLO, and CFO and their organizations in the annual planning process, forecasting, and management of operations to budget.
  • Strategic Finance: contribute to strategic projects, such as mergers and acquisition due diligence and integration, capital allocations strategy, and process optimization efforts, as required.
  • Function as an Adaptive Planning SME within the Finance team and leverage Adaptive to produce timely, accurate, and detailed financial reporting.
  • Own clear, compelling analysis, including detailed financial modeling, that informs and drives budget owner decision making.
  • Partner and problem solve effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in the end-to-end reporting process, including Sales Ops, Business Systems, Data & BI, Accounting, HR, and Finance.
  • Support the Director in defining and documenting Finance team process.

Requirements and Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or other quantitative major

  • Experience in a SaaS or B2B subscription model business
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling
  • Strong relationship building and demonstrated ability to influence financial decision making
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a technical aptitude for financial systems development, reporting, and automation
  • Solid understanding and use of accounting and finance principles
  • Willing to take feedback, learn and grow; an ethos of continuous self-improvement
  • Ability to handle competing deadlines – and shifting priorities – with minimal supervision
