About the job 

We are seeking a talented Engineer specializing in Mechanical and Process Systems to contribute to the development of a cutting-edge R&D Test Centre dedicated to testing of centrifugal high-speed separators. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing mechanical systems and processes within the test centre. This position requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, process design, and project management. 

In this position your responsibilities will be: 

• Design mechanical systems and processes tailored to the specific needs of the test centre and test assignment, considering factors such as safety, efficiency, and accuracy. 
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate different design options and propose optimal solutions. 
• Develop detailed engineering designs, including equipment specifications, layout drawings, and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams). 
• Procure necessary equipment and materials, working closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery. 
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and validation of mechanical systems and equipment within the test centre. 
• Support Test Engineers in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for testing processes, ensuring consistency and compliance with industry standards.

Problem-solving and having an eye for detail characterise you. You have good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 

What you know 

We trust you have proven experience in mechanical system design, process engineering, or related roles. You possess deep knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer principles relevant to mechanical systems. You have Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations governing mechanical systems and testing facilities. You are fluent in Swedish and English both written and spoken. 

Experience with process optimization techniques such as Lean Six Sigma and project management methodologies is a plus.
