POSITION OVERVIEW

ThreatLocker is seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Communications Manager specializing in Public Relations to join our internal Marketing team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling, brand building, and relationship management. The Marketing Communications Manager will play a pivotal role in elevating the brand presence of ThreatLocker, fostering media relationships, and driving impactful communications initiatives.

JOB SCOPE

The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Develop and execute influencer marketing strategies to amplify brand awareness and engagement. 
  • Manage analyst relations, including scheduling calls and tracking research inclusion opportunities. 
  • Seek, compile, and submit award applications while tracking all awards and press mentions. 
  • Research trending stories for content inspiration and craft articles for press coverage. 
  • Create pitch emails and curate pitch lists for journalists and influencers. 
  • Develop and optimize press kits on the company website. 
  • Collaborate with the events team on community engagement initiatives. 
  • Manage review sites and construct client review campaigns with the Account Management and Sales Team. 
  • Lead and manage external PR teams to align with communication objectives. 
  • Work with C-Suite executives to get quotes and content inspiration for PR objectives. 
  • Collaborate with the internal marketing team to utilize existing content strategies for PR strategy development. 
  • Other opportunities as they arise.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field. 
  • Proven experience (5 years) in marketing communications and public relations roles, preferably within the cybersecurity or technology industry. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and pitches. 
  • Proficiency in content creation, copywriting, and press release development. 
  • Experience managing teams and collaborating cross-functionally. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry stakeholders. 
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
