What’s the Opportunity? 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join Upland India as a Senior Software Engineer II (Front-End) for our Upland Second Street product. The individual will work with our front-end development team. 

What would you do? 

• Develop, test and maintain Ember.js Front-End
• Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborating with other developers and team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive code to enhance the user experience and support analytical products
• Troubleshoot and diagnose production issues
• Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members
• Take lead on projects as needed
• Jump in and help the team deliver features when it is required
• Balance technical debt vs. feature development vs. supporting customers

What are we looking for? 

To be part of this journey, you must have an experience of 7 - 9 years in the below mentioned areas. 

Technical Skills

The following skills are needed for this role. 

Experience 

• 7-9 years in Front end framework (Angular/React/Javascript) 
• At least 4+ years in Ember.js 3.15 or later

Primary Skills 

• Ember.js 3.15 or later 
• CSS including flexbox, grid, and transitions 
• Comfortable writing automated tests alongside features and bug fixes

Secondary Skills (nice to have) 

• RESTful JSON API (.NET C#)
• SQL Server Databases Skill
• Node.js, TypeScript, and ES2020 
• SVG and/or D3.js 
• Experience with agile methodologies, especially Kanban

Soft Skills 

• Thrives collaborating in a team environment with a diverse range of people 
• Strong communication, presentation, and decision-making skills 
• Proven leadership in a remote / hybrid work environment 
• Passionate about delivering an amazing customer experience 
• Able to have a change of mind, and able to change the minds of others 
• Writes clearly and concisely 
• Capable of working without a company office, with a fully remote team 

Growth Skills 

• Possesses a good work ethic; a self-starter with a desire to grow 
• Always looking for better ways to get the job done 

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience. 

This role requires overlap with multiple time zones for planning meetings, status updates etc. on a regular basis. The duration of these overlaps can change depending on the type of meeting.
