The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with internal and external teams to install or improve production related processes such as machine and work-cell designs, automation, ergonomics, production monitoring systems, and process capacity. This role will be expected to be hands on to ensure all production activities align with customer demands and management goals.

  • Operate as the main engineering support for the Nylok machining department
  • Manage improvement projects related to production equipment and work-cells
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify process opportunities
  • Analyze equipment to identify and propose setup and in-process efficiencies
  • Design and build production equipment or equipment components
  • Document process and equipment standards
  • Manage Lean manufacturing activities
  • Support quality and problem-solving activities

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret work order instructions, blueprints, and standard operating procedures
  • Experience or familiarity with machining and/or CNC concepts
  • Experience in CAD; Solid Edge a plus
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or lean manufacturing a plus
  • Familiar with control systems; PLC and HMI programing a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Must be eligible for employment in the United States
