JOB DESCRIPTION 

Position Summary: This position is responsible for providing Design to order (DTO) or Engineering to order (ETO) solutions for conveying product line, contributing innovative and efficient designs. Responsibilities will include like, 3D modeling, drafting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions as per customer requirements. Hiring is for Pune COE.

Major Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and drive inquiries, orders and projects in conveying system productline, working with global teams. 
  • Assist in the creation of detailed mechanical designs and specifications for new orders or improvements to existing products. 
  • Coordinate with global cross-functional teams to fully execute project deliverables 
  • Establish the library of customer drawings and machine templates. 
  • Establish the internal sales block library to keep Design team up to date per Engineering 
  • Lead cross-functional teams to complete deliverables, approvals and BOM management. 
  • Work with CAD designers to prepare layouts, part and assembly models & drawings. Perform quality checks on the drawings/designs generated. 
  • Provide assistance to inside and outside customers as needed. 
  • Document all aspects of every project as required, to keep manager and project team updated on progress. 
  • Create design documents such as installation instructions, customer data sheets etc. 
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes. 
  • Contribute to the improvement of design methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. 
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and assist in their professional development. 
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, co-workers, and company personnel. 
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required. 

Required Education / Experience / Skills: 

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Master's degree is plus. 
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience as Mechanical Design Engineer or in a similar role., 
  • Experience in supervising designers/engineers will be a plus. 
  • Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and specifications. 
  • Proficient in CAD work (Creo/Solid Edge or Inventor, SolidWorks experience is preferred). 
  • Prior project management experience is a plus. 
  • Customer-focused with a strong technical background and commercial aptitude and interest. 
  • Ability to coordinate activities and influence others in a cross-functional environment. 
  • Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and with sense of urgency. 
  • Competent in Microsoft computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. 

Travel: less than 10%
