The Project Financial Operations Analyst – leads and manages the day-to-day finance needs of the Lakeland office. This position is responsible for ensuring projects are accurately projected and delivering expected job profitability.

Responsibilities of the Project Financial Operations Analyst:

  • Coordinates with project operations to ensure that all financial related aspects of the Lakeland site are properly reviewed and analyzed prior to committing capital
  • Schedules and reviews content of all monthly job projection (MPSR) meetings at his/her location of responsibility
  • Ensures accurate project cost estimates for all jobs within location
  • Coordinates weekly job cost reviews with operations to review actual costs vs. expected
  • Responsible for oversight on change management processes with the project operations
  • Coordinates and oversees all purchase order and subcontract submissions to Purchasing to ensure costs are within project estimates in place
  • Responsible for oversight to ensure accurate timely coding and approval for accounts payable, expenses, and timecards for the Lakeland employees
  • Ensures weekly and monthly billings occur timely and challenges project operations to achieve monthly targets for billings
  • Responsible for assisting Director of Finance in modeling, analyzing, and delivering on 12-month cash flow projection
  • Approves and assigns expenses to appropriate GL accounts within location
  • Reports and answers any questions from the Director of Finance regarding reporting of job costs
  • Responsible for accurate set up of all new jobs within Lakeland and closing of all jobs within the Lakeland office
  • Continually analyzes and mitigates project risk
  • Assists with developing the annual budget
  • Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required or 5 years of equivalent work experience
  • VISTA software experience, accounting and project management experience preferred
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in a multi-task environment and prioritize workload
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Accuracy is a must and strong attention to details
  • Great communication skills both verbal and written
