Commercial Intern

General Mission:

Coordinate with the Commercial Manager, Area Sales Managers & Supply Chain Executives on all commercial related activities.

1. Topline analysis under the supervision of the Area Sales Managers:

  • Consolidate and upload sales received from the local markets into a business intelligence platform
  • Re-validate data in system by cross-checking with local markets’ source files
  • Share a weekly report analysing performance (i.e., MTD, YTD, vs budget etc…) with key insights
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis based on market studies, distribution, pricing etc…

2. Assess submitted purchase orders & track distributor stock holding under the supervision of the Area Sales Managers:

  • Verify the submission of order template is filled correctly
  • Analyse the landing month of cover by PARETO categorization
  • Flag and suggest amendments if needed
  • Submit orders to Area Sales Managers with feedback/final review before placement
  • Provide key insights on local market stock holding
  • Monthly tracking of EOL volumes at distributor level

3. Expense tracking & flagging

  • Follow up on receiving the correct expense tracker from local markets
  • Ensure the file is filled correctly and all formulas are working
  • Cross-check expenses with relevant boards (i.e., salaries match a correctly filled salary board)
  • Flag any overspending

4. Update commercial templates:

  • Update existing templates for new time periods
  • Assist local market Brand Managers troubleshoot on excel for regional templates
  • Ensure receiving templates from local markets in correct format for consolidation
  • Suggest new formats for templates to ease consolidation process

5. Support in clearing UAE Shipments:

  • Collect and validate required documents to clear UAE shipment
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain Executive for delivery

Hierarchical relation:

  • Reports to the Commercial Manager

Functional relations:

  • Internally: Commercial & Operations team, Financial Controller and Marketing team
  • Externally: Local market Brand Managers

Profile:

  • Excellent in MS Excel, this is key to succeed in this role
  • Proficient in MS Powerpoint
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent follow up skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player and able to collaborate with multiple supervisors
  • Willingness to learn and execute
  • Fluent in English
