About the Role:

This opportunity will make you a part of Boston Scientific internship program that offers on-the-job training or project performed by university senior students at a company. The role will include activities provide Under supervisory direction, assist in the identification and pursuit of value improvement and waste elimination projects to support manufacturing and overhead areas in line with business goals and objectives. Support manufacturing and other areas of the plant in the deployment and continuous application of lean principles and practices.

The internship will be for a period of up to 12 months and the student will receive a subsidy during their period on the company, during this time the student must be active in the university.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Establishes and/or maintains processes to support the collection and dissemination of such data/information.
  • Reviews and/or reconciles data to support business processes.
  • Consistently seeking ways to make department more efficient in the way we capture, process, and disseminate data/information.
  • Actively participates in both system and process improvements.
  • Create documentation for department procedures as required.
  • Support internal and/or external audits as required.
  • Support adhoc requests and special projects as required.
  • Develop high performing operations in Accounts Payable team within Global Business Services (GBS) providing one or more business services to Boston Scientific. Ensures consistency with global processes and maximizes operational efficiency.
  • Timely communication to internal and external customers
  • Assist with gathering and reporting of department metrics.
  • Regular update and roll out of SOPs.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Prioritize and effectively manage time to meet required deadlines, achieve set goals and meet service level agreements of internal customers.
  • Participate in the execution of departmental and organizational projects, including but not limited to analysis, data maintenance, testing, training and go live.
  • Contribute with monthly audits of Accounts Payable transactions across all applicable systems to ensure data accuracy and SOX compliance.
  • Act as a quality controller across invoice processing functions to ensure consistency in the execution of the procedures.

What We’re Looking For: 

  • At least 70% of studies completed and currently enrolled in the university.
  • English Level desired: 60%.
  • Desirable knowledge in: APICS Certification, Microsoft Office Basic, SAP, Inventory Analysis, Planning, Microsoft Office Advanced (Excel is a must).
  • Available for a temporary position (6-12 months).
