This integral position in the Enrollment Marketing department is right for you if you are looking to learn and build your career in marketing. This person in this position will help develop and operationalize marketing plans.This Individual will play an important role in successful recruitment and retention of students and will be responsible for helping the Enrollment Marketing team achieve its goals. This individual will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders throughout undergraduate admission, marketing and communications, orientation and campus life, career development, residence life, and academic affairs. In addition, this position will need to have marketing content writing and basic rich media development skills.

COMMUNICATIONS

Strong spoken, written, electronic communication a must. Should be able to write short, effective and concise content.

This position will be using communication to communicate with external audiences such as perspective undergraduate admission students, their parent and counselors.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

This position will provide service to university’s external audiences including but not limited to prospective undergraduate students, their parents and high school counselors. This position with will work to help the Undergraduate Admissions office meet its annual recruitment goals.

Special Schedule Requirements

This is a hybrid role. Employee will need to work 60% time in office each week.

Education & Experience

  • Individual with 0-2 years of professional experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field. Experience working at a university is preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing or a related field is required.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong content creation, graphic design, project-management, interpersonal and communication skills; creativity; teamwork and the ability to work with and meet deadlines; ability to plan, manage, and execute initiatives; excellent research skills and proven analytical ability.
  • Proficiency with mass marketing software and CRM preferred. Individual must have a familiarity with or willingness to learn Salesforce, TargetX and other software tools used by the department.
  • Experience packaging and deploying communications within a CRM or marketing automation tool is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Adobe creative cloud tools and basic HTML knowledge.

Key Responsibility

Strategy and planning: This individual will be working closely with the Director of Enrollment Marketing to develop strategies to communicate to various audiences across the recruitment funnel. This position will help with planning campaigns across various channels including but not limited to email, text, print, social media, and calls. Percentage of time: 20%

Percentage Of Time 20 Key Responsibility

Project Management and execution: Work cross-functionally throughout the student services division to create and implement an annual email communication timeline for admitted and current students. Set benchmarks and train student services representatives on best practices for effective email and web communication. Work with marketing team members to ensure that communications meet university brand standards and are consistent in tone and style. Percentage of time: 35%

Content Creation:

Help curate content to assist in the recruitment and retention of prospective and current students. This may include writing and editing copy, managing website and social media channels, and creating content for multimedia platforms.

Omnichannel Content Creation: Help curate content (written text and rich media) to assist in the recruitment and retention of prospective and current students. This may include writing and editing copy, managing website and social media channels, editing images and videos. Percentage of time: 35%
