We're hiring a Category Marketing Manager

Category Marketing Manager Leads a portfolio of existing and new technology for assigned segment, market, crops. Manages life cycle of its product and portfolio from creating, launching, growing, defending and exiting when required. Leads financial and profit of its portfolio

Your Challenge:

  • In charge of the financial for its portfolio
  • In charge to deliver sales and profit goals of its portfolio
  • In charge of pricing, program, profit aligned with regional guideline and CU
  • Owns understanding customer, market and business partner needs: quantitative and qualitative
  • Works within the local teams to decide local commercial and technical positioning at customer and business partner level for new and existing products.
  • In charge of existing portfolio:
  • In charge of marketing plan for existing portfolio,
  • Interprets and translates commercial issues into the local project plan for programs and marketing plans.
  • Conducts price / volume / profit analysis in the country for projects and existing products and develops the optimum cross-geographic pricing strategies and implements them.
  • In charge of new technology
  • including the validation of technical concepts and product concepts, supported by the sales organization
  • Creates the sales and expense forecasts, and accountable for Business Case for new projects,
  • In charge of marketing and launch plan
  • In charge of program (product advancement, product development)
  • Represents the local markets in case-building for any new projects.
  • Creates and represents local team commercial work plans:
  • For product launch projects and in the country, and accepts trade-offs, if necessary, for the benefit of the overall project and products.
  • With local team, designs and implements pre-launch and post-launch communications for projects, and communication for existing products using local organization support as available.
  • Communicates the project and existing products marketing plans in the country and gains commitment and works with country management to integrate these into the overall country strategy and customer offer at all levels.
  • In charge of demand and forecasting
  • Demand for its portfolio and inventory strategy (safety stock end year inventory,
  • Strategy for aging inventory (discard DO, exit GMID ….)
  • In charge with final label approval in the system for new and existing commercial products

Tech-transfer

  • External technology transfer to ensure an appropriate/safe use of our products with customers and stakeholders.
  • Technical support to customers and end-users of our portfolio.
  • Give technical/commercial inputs to R&D department.
  • Obtain competitor knowledge (technical strengths and weaknesses).
  • Use digital platforms to promote of our activities, campaigns, products or services.

You will be a part of Growing Team

Internal: Agronomists, Sales Representative, country leader, sales leader, program and portfolio leaders, peers in other CU's, Country / Sales management, Market Research Focal Point and commercial excellence organization, demand manager, zonal platform leader, regional marketing

External: leading farmer, key institute, key business partners, purchasing group

Qualifications

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need

  • Degree: Agronomist.
  • Other valuable requirements: PhD, MSc, strong agronomic background.
  • Experience: Valuable but no needed in similar roles. Strong technical knowledge about crops.
  • Languages: Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Effective use of computers and MS Office.
