Job Summary

Tetra Pak South Africa is looking for young, talented & ambitious for a Future Talent- Process Engineer in Johannesburg, to fill rewarding and challenging roles, that allow freedom with accountability while working directly with our PSE team.

The successful candidates will report to the Manager: Project Management based in Cape Town.

Our Future Talent Programme - Technical Track is an 18 months programme that will develop your engineering/technical skills and bring you leading technical knowledge in an accelerated way.

From day one, you’ll be delivering results as part of the team and hold an actual position. Your manager will plan the content of your programme and support you in your development journey. You will work in various parts of Tetra Pak and gain experience from a network of Colleagues all over the world. And that is just the beginning of your Tetra Pak career. After the programme finishes you will have gained valuable experience to help you continue your exciting career within our company.

What you will do

  • Do site management for new or existing projects
  • Do daily reports for site activities
  • Lead as a safety officer
  • Develop basic technical solutions for whole or part engineering projects.
  • Develop project documentation.
  • Technical discussions with customer and or end suppliers for whole or part engineering projects.
  • Participate in validation / reviewing technical solutions for whole or part engineering projects.
  • Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak.
  • Need to have own transport
  • Willing to travel for extended periods of time

We believe you have

  • Bachelor’s/ BTech degree in Mechanical, Process or Chemical engineering
  • 1-2 years in project implementation/execution preferably
  • Experience on welding, grinding and the use of hand tools
  • Result orientated
  • Well-spoken and presentable
  • Assertive
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Afrikaans is an added advantage)
  • Be willing to put in extra effort to grow your carreer
  • Customer focus attitude
  • Ability to work independently and handle/drive change
