Job Summary

Gateway Community and Technical College invites applications for the Federal Work Study (Student Only) part-time position of Social Media Assistant. This position will support the department with daily work related to social media, photography, videography, and content editing.

Job Duties:

Student will assist the Marketing & Communications staff with daily work such as social media, photography, videography, content editing, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Social media content creation
• Taking photos/videos at student events
• Creating engaging captions and giveaways for social media posts; encouraging student engagement
• Helping with student interviews for various marketing/communication pieces
• Simple graphic design projects
• General office support
• Other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledgeable of social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
• Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Power Point, Excel, and others.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Dependable and able to stick to a work schedule
• Prefer knowledge/familiarity with Canva
