The Purpose:

We are currently seeking a Group Accounting Manager to join our Technical & Group Accounting team. This role is part of the Global Finance team to manage our HGB and Group Reporting requirements. We are looking for someone who has strong technical knowledge and experience in HGB, IFRS and group consolidation, is a strong communicator, thrives on process improvement, and enjoys working in a challenging, fast–paced environment to support our continued success. You will be part of our Accounting team that is composed of other passionate accounting professionals located in Munich, Frankfurt, London, Luxembourg, Mexico City, Sao Paolo and Singapore

What you'll be doing:

  • Participation in the preparation, documentation and commentary of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB
  • Creation and execution of consolidation entries in the monthly and annual financial statements process according to IFRS
  • Support in the development of quality standards with a view to efficient and correct preparation of financial statements
  • Participation in the processing of special topics within the framework of IFRS accounting
  • Support in the introduction and implementation of new IFRS requirements in defining the technical and procedural aspects for the accounting area and the maintenance of global accounting guidelines
  • Key contact for the Group and German subsidiaries financial auditors

You'll need to have:

  • Successfully completed a business degree, ideally with a focus on accounting and/or auditing. 
  • An additional qualification as a tax advisor, auditor, CFA, etc. is desirable.
  • Several years of professional experience in an international company, a management consultancy or a large auditing firm in the area of corporate and international accounting.
  • Very good knowledge of accounting according to IFRS & HGB
  • Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written, are a must
  • Ideally, you have already gained experience in using modern consolidation software.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with remote teams
