Salary: $23-28/hour DOE
Express Employment Professionals is looking for a Technical Support Specialist in the Customer Service Department of an industry leading company. The Technical Support Specialist is primarily responsible for providing technical and troubleshooting over the phone, parts research and pricing support, technical training, occasional on-site technical support as needed, and day-to-day technical service expertise to customers and the Field Service team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide phone and online technical support to customers and Field Service Technicians answering questions about machine assembly, troubleshooting and repair
- Conduct Technical Service School covering electrical, basic electronics, hydraulics, blueprint reading, ladder diagrams, sequence of operation, machine line-up, and machine assembly
- Respond to questions about part numbers, identifying correct parts and assemblies
- Determine pricing and availability of service parts, processing orders as required
- Interpret schematics/blueprints to troubleshoot machines
- Locate prints for manufacture of obsolete parts
- Research customer requirements and determine appropriate needs
- Perform on-site (field) repair work as required, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and hydraulic malfunctions
- Supports development of knowledge base system for use internally and externally to aid in the diagnosis of machine issues
- Help develop Service Department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
- Enhances the Service Team members' growth and learning through training events and 1 on 1 coaching
- Participates in the development and implementation of Service Department processes
- Demonstrate the Company Core Values daily
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
WORK EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent mechanical aptitude including strong electrical and hydraulic system skills
- Demonstrated ability to build, service and operate saws a plus
- Basic machining skills including sawing, drilling and milling
- Experience troubleshooting electrical (24vdc - 480vac) and hydraulic circuitry
- Experience with PLC's, VFD's, HMI's and Servo's a plus
- Ability to read and understand schematics and diagrams
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
- Goal driven to complete projects and ongoing activities
- Team player & strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent Customer Relation Skills
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Ability to travel domestically with some international
- Must have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Full time
- Monday through Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM
