As our first Start-up Ecosystem Lead - EMEA, you will own building and developing relationships with the start-up ecosystem (VCs, PE, Accelerators). You will play a crucial role in building trust between Vanta, the start-up ecosystem and founders and ultimately help Vanta achieve its mission of securing the Internet, one start-up at a time.

As our Start-up Ecosystem Lead - EMEA you’ll build and nurture strategic partnerships with other companies, driving business growth and market expansion. Through your expertise in the market, you’ll identify partnership opportunities and negotiate win-win agreements that support mutual success and collaboration.

Our Start-up Ecosystem Lead - EMEA plays a critical role in extending market reach, accessing new customer segments, and to serve founders better through our ecosystem partners. With your partnership management skills, Vanta can form strong alliances, expand their product offerings and market opportunities

What you’ll do as a Start-up Ecosystem Lead at Vanta:

  • Represent the Startup partner team and drive growth goals in the EMEA region.
  • Ensure Vanta is the clear choice for compliance automation solutions among the startup partner ecosystem in EMEA.
  • Create, grow and manage strategic partnerships with top VC’s, PE’s, Incubators, Accelerators and Startup Programs in the region.
  • Publicly launch startup partnerships, working collaboratively with other Vanta teams.
  • Identify new market trends and opportunities for Vanta through the startup ecosystem.
  • Identify and engage in relevant event opportunities related to startup partners and programs in EMEA.
  • Negotiating partnership agreements and contracts with startup partners. 
  • Managing and nurturing partner relationships
  • Serve as the voice of your customers and partners, providing feedback to the Product team on product improvements and new business opportunities.

How to be successful in this role:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales or partnerships in SaaS and/or Venture Capital/Private Equity firm
  • 2+ years experience in a high-velocity SMB business / fast-scaling startup
  • Experience within the security/compliance industry is a plus but not required
  • A strong understanding of how the Venture Capital and Startup world operate and how to develop value.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals from founders to fund managers. 
  • Experience building businesses, functions or programmes from scratch. 
  • Desire to succeed and move quickly without constant guidance in a fast-moving, demanding, innovative, and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Salesforce, Google Suite and Outreach.
  • A results oriented, highly motivated, enthusiastic attitude and the ability to work independently
  • Process-oriented, with the ability to simplify, automate, and communicate effectively
  • Strong sense of ownership over your everyday work and partners.
