The mission of HALO Precision Diagnostics is to improve human health and wellbeing via local and easy access to advanced diagnostics. As part of our stellar software engineering team you will be on the forefront of that mission, as we understand and evolve the way radiology works. We build products that are reshaping the diagnostic imaging industry.

Our engineering team, based in Bulgaria, is building a distributed multi-tenant radiology SaaS platform from scratch, as well as all the necessary physical, virtual, and application infrastructure to bridge edge medical devices and its data center, enabling various diagnostic ML and AI solutions. We have teams tackling complex data transfer and synchronization challenges related to the imaging studies produced by the modalities (MRI, CT Scans, X-Ray, Ultrasound). Other teams are designing extensibility and configurability of the workflow of patient care and imaging services. Оur engineers are modernizing patient and doctor experience so that we have the best point of care. Each team is self-managed and uniquely responsible to deliver a comprehensive solution with high impact and ownership over the delivery. More specialized roles exist, based on engineers’ skills and passion.

A Senior Software Engineer at HALO Precision Diagnostics is expected to: 

• Write efficient code that is readable, with good test coverage, and is well-documented
• Produce scalable and extensible architectures
• Create reusable solutions that contribute to the team’s long-term productivity
• Collaborate with the frontend and DevOps teams
• Work closely with the product management and product design teams
• Mentor engineers and help the team grow and improve

What we look for: 

• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, OOP, and design patterns
• Experience and deep knowledge in at least one backend technology - Node.js, Python, Java, .NET
• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases - PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra
• Experience with scalable architecture building blocks like load balancers, message queues, and cloud services
• Track record delivering high-quality software applications that meet business needs
• Good communication skills
• Experience with observability infrastructure is a plus
• Knowledge of modern DevOps practices and tools is a plus
