Switchboard is a one-stop resource hub for refugee service providers in the United States funded by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and implemented by the International Rescue Committee (IRC). Switchboard offers training and technical assistance (TTA) resources via webinars, downloadable resources, blogs, podcasts, certificate courses and communities of practice. TTA and resources focus on the content areas of monitoring and evaluation, organizational development, employment, mental health, community engagement, and population-specific content (e.g., for Afghan newcomers). SCOPE OF INTERN WORK: With oversight from the Switchboard Mental Health and Wellness Training Officer, the Switchboard Intern will support the development and delivery of training and technical assistance including creating customized resource lists, organizing and archiving resource lists, and supporting staff with the creation and delivery of new resources (i.e. webinars, e-learning, online certificate courses, Communities of Practice (CoPs), information guides, blog posts, etc.).
COMMITMENT: 9-10 months, start dates available either spring or fall 2024, 10-20 hours per week

1. The intern will gain professional experience in the provision of training and technical assistance, including instructional design and resource development.
2. The intern will deepen their understanding of mental health and psychosocial support services in forcibly displaced populations and the US refugee resettlement system
3. The intern will gain experience with methods and technology used to disseminate learning.
