Interim Senior Manager / Director of FPA

Our client, a pharmaceutical development company, is looking for an Interim Senior Manager or Director of FPA, to support their team in a variety of responsibilities while they find a permanent hire. 

LOCATION: 

San Francisco. Hybrid capacity, 2 times per week in the office

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This opportunity will have an initial duration of 2-3 months. This position will report to the Head of FP&A

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Budget and Forecast Planning

• Lead the annual budget and forecasting process across all departments
• Build models to analyze liquidity, cash concentration and cash forecasting
• Prepare financial budget and results Board presentations
• Prepare financial models to support operational initiatives and contemplated high dollar purchases

Financial Reporting & Variance Analyses

• Lead and present month-end financial close results deck
• Provide regular reporting and variance analyses to all departments.
• Partner with the Accounting Team on close processes 

Collaboration

• Partner with Senior Leadership to evolve project level planning.
• Participate in special projects

System Enhancements, Process Improvement & Leadership

• Lead Anaplan system enhancements
• Review purchase requisitions to ensure budget and financial compliance
• Contribute to continuous process improvements

COMPENSATION:

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $110 per hour. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
