Pison is developing breakthrough consumer and healthcare products that are harnessing the power of the mind. We’ve pioneered the science of electroneurography (ENG) to non-invasively sense, analyze, and apply electrical signals coming from the brain. Our neural biosensor and artificial intelligence software are opening a new window to thousands of new, neural-based applications that can improve human health and wellness and help individuals control their environment via gesture recognition. Our vision is to deliver real-time, actionable insights into the state of the body’s nervous system, guiding users to better health and higher achievement in every domain of human endeavor.
Job Summary:
As a member of the Algorithms and Machine Learning team at Pison Technology, the Data Scientist will support machine learning research and development through data collection, signal processing, data mining/analysis, and model research. Additionally, the Data Scientist will work with machine learning engineers in Pison’s production inference pipeline development, deployment, and optimization. The Data Scientist will not only use data used to train/tune models and and perform benchmarking tests on these models to predict real-time performance, but will also have the opportunities to participate in data collection experiments.
This position is located in our Boston, MA office. This position would be expected to be onsite at least 3 times per week.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Research for state-of-the-art neurological insights prediction and gesture classification algorithms using IMU and biopotential sensor data with conventional ML and deep learning AI techniques
Develop code and tools in Python to test and characterize performance and limitations of different neurological insights prediction and gesture classification models
Perform data mining and data characterization to generate metrics and methods for evaluating performance of the real-time neurological insights prediction and gesture inference pipeline of the Pison gesture platform.
