Role: Senior Accounting Manager, Cost

Location: Bellevue, WA (hybrid)

Pay Rate Up To: $150K to $180K

Our client is a growing biotech company who is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager of Cost. You'll play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing cost accounting, general ledger, and month-end processes. This hands-on position encompasses critical responsibilities such as monthly and quarterly closing activities, meticulous review of journal entries, and comprehensive variance analysis.

In this role, you will spearhead the development and implementation of general accounting, project cost, and cost accounting procedures. Additionally, you'll contribute to budgeting, financial projects, and collaborate closely with external auditors and leaders within a multi-entity setting.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of extensive accounting experience
  • Profound expertise in cost accounting principles and experience working within a COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) environment is essential
  • Strong familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); prior CPA certification or experience in public accounting is preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly analytical with an aptitude for diving into the details
