About this opportunity 

We are currently seeking a talented Opto-Mechanical Designer to join our R&D team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of opto-mechanical systems, with a focus on medical device development. With a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in opto-mechanical design, the ideal candidate will contribute to the creation of cutting-edge medical devices that positively impact dental healthcare worldwide.

In this role, you will… 

  • Design and develop opto-mechanical systems for medical dental devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including optical engineers, electrical engineers, and industrial designers, to ensure seamless integration of optical and mechanical components.
  • Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks is advantage) to create detailed designs, prototypes, and engineering drawings.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations for opto-mechanical systems.
  • Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to oversee the fabrication and assembly of opto-mechanical components.
  • Perform thermodynamics analysis to optimize system performance and thermal management.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in opto-mechanical technologies and contribute innovative ideas to project teams.

A part of the mechanical R&D group.

In addition to the membership in the mechanical group he/she will be a member in HW team. As a member in such group, he/she will fulfill a rule of mechanic consultant/task leader.

In this role, you’ll need … 

  • BSc degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
  • 3-4 years of proven experience in mechanical design activities in a high-tech company.
  • Experience in medical device development is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in opto-mechanical design.
  • Experience in electronic packaging design.
  • Experience in plastic parts designs – Advantage.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary product design, preferably in medical devices (advantage).
  • SolidWorks Simulation skills are an advantage.
  • Fluent in PC operation skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
