Financial Analyst Responsibilities Include:

  • Create a financial management strategy to help our client succeed.
  • Work with project management, schedulers, and task leads to build an actionable plan for your DoN client to secure the funding needed to achieve their goals.
  • Use knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies, you’ll provide analytical support to your client for the development of well-formed requirements.
  • Ensure the funding is used efficiently through consistent tracking and communication with project management and task leads.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience with delivering financial management support to a DoD organization including 2+ years of experience with the Navy.
  • Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
  • Ability to create and brief reports that reflect program and project financial execution status to senior level leadership not limited to; Program Manager (PM), Principle Assistant Program Manager (PAPM) and the Business Financial Manager (BFM)
  • Experience with providing recommendations to senior leadership, forward-leaning, self-starter, seeking opportunities to improve client processes
  • Experience utilizing the government Planning, Programming, Budgeting & Execution Process (PPBE), the Navy’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and knowledge of the Procurement Business Intelligence Service (PBIS)
  • Experience directly supporting government Business Financial Management (BFM), including, but not limited to the ability to interpret financial data to assist with short-fused tasks (e.g., Obligation Phasing Plans, fiscal year (FY) mid-year and end-of-year obligation, and expenditure reports)
  • Experience with financial analysis in a professional environment including the ability to provide financial recommendations for utilization of program level funding and colors of money
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Power Point

Preferred Qualification:

  • Ability to create Purchase Requisition (PR) documents
  • Experience with Navy NEPS and TPS processes
  • Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level I Certification
  • Completion of financial related Defense Acquisition University courses such as Acquisition (ACQ) 101.
