Operation Supervisor - TRAINEE, Chemical or Mechanical degree graduates (St. Louis, MO) 

Job Summary 

Upon selection, the Sensient Operations Supervisor Trainee will participate in a program designed to prepare one for a career in operations management. The Operations Development program consists of departmental rotations in multiple plant functional areas, which include: 

  • Operations 
  • Quality Control 
  • Engineering 
  • Process Improvement
  • Warehouse 

The Operations Trainee can expect to spend several weeks or months in various departments during this development program with the ultimate goal of achieving the ability to perform as an Operations Supervisor for Sensient Colors. Achieving the position of Operations Supervisor requires the ability to work any shift for selection to the Operations Supervisor Trainee position for a specified period.

What does an Operations Supervisor do for Sensient?

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for daily processing operations associated with production of multiple product lines in assigned production departments. This includes supervising production employees and administrative functions associated with the activities of a three-shift operation and 12 hour shifts. Our Operations Supervisors are responsible for performance in safety, quality, productivity, inventory accuracy, GMP/housekeeping, yields, cost control and HAACP.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in chemical or mechanical engineering. 
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Training is located in St. Louis, MO. 
  • Ability to relocate to other plant locations is preferred.
