Role Summary:

We’re looking for a Customer Success Engineer who can technically assist and enable our customers. As a CSE, you’ll be a product expert, who loves solving problems and is customer-service oriented. In this role, you’ll be responsible for working with customers across a variety of industries and a variety of tools to better understand their workflows. You’ll serve as a coach and trusted advisor during the training, implementation, and adoption phases of the customer lifecycle.

As the ideal candidate, you have both a technical and consulting services background that enables you to quickly assess and offer value to Cesnys’s customers. We’re looking for someone who is curious, loves to learn, empathizes with the security practitioner, and who is excited by a fast-paced startup environment.

What you’ll do:

  • You will partner closely with the entire Customer Experience organization to provide a world class customer experience to our customers, post-sales.
  • As a technical advisor you will provide customers with best practices to maximize usage of the Censys Attack Surface Management Platform and Censys Search products.
  • You will work to reduce time to value for the customers by guiding operational workflows for the customers. 
  • You will help customers deploy, test, troubleshoot, and advise on integrations such as Cloud Connectors, Splunk, Jira, Service Now, and more.
  • You will serve as a customer advocate in influencing product roadmap and improvements.
  • As a member of the CSE team you will become an SME for parts of the platform and become the go to member for your area of expertise.

What you’ll bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical, customer facing role
  • 2+ years of experience working in cyber security
  • Basic knowledge of security tooling, cloud providers, and the information security industry
  • Basic knowledge of common network protocols: HTTPS, SSH, SMTP, FTP, SMB, RDP, and basic understanding of SSL/TLS and certificates
  • Comfortable using REST APIs and Python
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills
  • A resourceful, figure-it-out and we-can-do-this attitude
  • Self-starter with ability to multi-task in a high-pressure, fast-paced, fast growth environment
  • A burning desire to work with really great customers and build easy to use applications and integrations

  • Follow security news and events that affect the industry
  • Experience programming in a language like Go or Python, for example
  • Love building tools that make life easier for people (show us your GitHub repo)
  • Love a good game of Jenga

Our target salary range for this role is between $100,000.00 USD and $120,000.00 USD + bonus eligibility and equity.
