We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Advocacy and Customer Marketing to join our best-in-class Customer Marketing team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a customer reference and advocacy program in a B2B technology organization.

This individual will play a pivotal role in driving customer engagement, advocacy and loyalty. This is a customer-facing position where you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to showcase the value of our solutions through compelling storytelling and by nurturing strong relationships with our customers. You will develop a formal reference program that rewards and incentivizes customers to partner on creating case studies, videos and testimonials. You are also responsible for building the mechanisms that amplify customer evidence across the sales cycle. In addition, you will work across functions to satisfy business requirements for customer participation in activities such as sales calls, analyst interviews, peer reviews, event speakers, press releases and more.

What you will do:

  • Develop a scalable reference program that effectively identifies, recruits, tracks, onboards, and rewards advocates and their interactions
  • Day-to-day development, oversight, and communication of customer advocacy in support of sales cycle acceleration and market awareness 
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales, Customer Success, and Product Marketing teams to identify and leverage customer advocacy opportunities 
  • Create and manage a database of customer advocates who are willing to participate in case studies, testimonials, speaking engagements, and other marketing activities, always ensuring a steady pipeline of content and references 
  • Drive cross-channel promotion of customer assets 
  • Maintain the Icertian incentive program and track quarterly sales incentives.
  • Work closely with the Content Marketing team to develop customer-focused content, including case studies, videos, blog posts, and social media assets. 
  • Manage an always-on peer review strategy paired with a closed loop process for feedback into Product, Customer Success and Sales to ensure a high rating is maintained and in line with competition 
  • Regularly review new wins and current references to ensure data is accurate 
  • Identify best practices that enable the program to scale 
  • Measure and analyze the impact of customer advocacy programs, providing regular reports and insights to internal stakeholders 
  • Foster and promote long-term, mutually beneficial customer relationships 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field 
  • 10+ years in Customer Marketing, Advocacy or Reference Management at a tech or SaaS company 
  • Creative and innovative ideas for communicating customer value 
  • The ability to consistently source reference pipeline and overcome objections for storytelling 
  • Customer-facing communications skills 
  • Presentation skills, at all levels of the organization 
  • The ability to articulately tell stories based on business and/or technical value 
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables at the same time 
  • Experience in a reference platform, Salesforce and peer review programs isa plus 
  • A data driven approach to managing your strategy and goals 
  • Self-motivated, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously
