Job description

As a Principal Design Engineer, you will drive design activities as well as generate digital IP designs while working with larger design teams.

In your new role you will:

  • Drive the design micro-architecture from architectural specification sand requirements;
  • Generate complex Digital IP designs while working alone or in collaboration with a larger design team;
  • Work with architects, verification, and implementation engineers to fine-tune the design and lead to efficient verification and implementation cycles;
  • Ensure design targets of performance, power and area;
  • Perform linting, RTL synthesis, and DFT to prove the implementability of the design and achieve RTL sign-off;
  • Create design-related documentation.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A university degree in electrical engineering;
  • At least 8 years of relevant design experience and an expert in the field of complex digital IP design;
  • Ability to develop RTL code targeting high performance and low area and understand how RTL will map to gate-level structures;
  • In-depth understanding of the frontend design flow;
  • Experience with Requirement- driven development flows as well as with Safety Products and ISO26262 qualification;
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, including clear communication of issues and progress;
  • Fluency in English.
