McArthurGlen Group, Europe’s leading owner, developer and manager of designer outlets, was founded in Europe in 1993 and currently manages 25 designer outlets in 8 countries.

What you'll be doing...

Given the increased investment in Consumer Facing Media, McArthurGlen Group has identified the need to bolster the senior resource in our media team. We have therefore created a Head of Media role reporting directly into the Commercial Marketing Director and overseeing the group media team.

As a key member of the senior marketing team this position will be critical to guide us in identifying the appropriate overall media strategy and plans to drive the collective footfall and sales targets for our 25 designer outlets across Europe and Canada most effectively and efficiently. This role will support the Regional Marketing and Media Managers in their media planning and buying efforts for group campaigns as well as developing plans for local programmes. Even more importantly this role is key to best manage our multi-agency operating model with a more regionalised approach to our media agency support and management – working with 3 different media agencies. And finally, it will contribute to setting the group marketing and media strategy, helping to deliver our vision globally.

To be successful you’ll bring...

  • In depth experience of all aspects of ATL and digital paid channels 
  • Significant experience in B2C organisations and/or media agencies, ideally with some experience in retail, fashion, hospitality, entertainment and/or lifestyle businesses. We believe the ideal candidate for this role is likely to be working in a media agency, but are open to other experience
  • Experience of successfully managing world class agency partners and large media budgets (€40m+) 
  • European media experience is a must, global media experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated understanding of ad tech tools and in-house technologies 
  • Ability to manage senior stakeholders and deliver clear, impactful presentations 
  • Background in using research and analytics to develop robust media plans 
  • Proactive, highly organised, process orientated – strategically strong thinker as well as hands-on operational team member
  • Demonstrated track record developing and managing global partnerships and driving partner account activity 
  • Strong analytical, sales channel and marketing skills 
  • Ideally experience of Econometrics projects
  • Understanding of e-business software, enterprise applications, solutions, and vendors 
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
