JOB SUMMARY: 

The candidate reports directly to the Events and Promotions Supervisor and will coordinate all promotions and events and will assist in ideation, creation, execution planning, auditing follow-up and post-event analysis, including all aspects that support the promotions and events such as direct mail, advertising and signage.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with the ESS Design Team to create and execute successful events and promotions
  • Contributes to program development to help the department achieve its goals 
  • Creates and distributes inter- and intra-departmental communication of all promotions and events
  • Submit IT, Graphics and BEO requests as needed
  • Approve rules and be thoroughly knowledgeable of all rules and procedures to all promotions and events
  • Secures and maintains all permits, decorations, equipment, and other items needed for a successful promotion or event
  • Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to the Horseshoe brand and encourages others to do the same
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies
  • Maintain organization of all promotions folders and information pertaining to events and promotions
  • Assist in the creation of necessary coupons or supporting collateral
  • Track all merchandise going to or coming from company warehouse to insure proper inventory information
  • Tracks and log all inventory within department policies
  • Assists in executing budgets, recording expenditures and reporting budget variances
  • Must be comfortable speaking in front of people and utilizing a microphone to emcee events and promotions
  • Assist Total Reward/Promotions Supervisor in the creation and /or implementation of all promotions and events
  • Tests APS programs for each event according to corporate APS checklists
  • Responsible for project management and meeting timelines. Must exhibit attention to detail and follow through with multiple projects at one time
  • Audits every promotion and event within department guidelines
  • All other duties assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

  • College Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or equivalent experience in gaming, hospitality, or travel industry

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 21 Years or Older
  • Candidate should be self-motivated; details orientated, and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
