PepsiCo is seeking a SAP DevSecOps Senior Manager to join our IT function and be part of our digital transformation journey. Role based in Carrigaline, Cork on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities

Role Summary:

As the Sr Manager of PGCS’s growing SAP Solutions and capabilities landscape, this role is required to lead the SAP DevSecOps IT function for PGCS. The role is responsible for the leadership of all application delivery, continuous improvement and service stability across functional areas of SAP Supply Chain, Finance and Procurement, excluding manufacturing operations.

The role is required to lead the design, implementation and support of an evolving portfolio of application solutions based on SAP and non-SAP applications to meet an ever increasing need to maximize the potential of technology in realizing our business goals. The role will partner closely with the global landscape governance teams in other sectors and within Global IT.

Key activities:

  • Act as Functional Lead in evaluate, estimate, plan and deliver initiatives by leading or supporting the initiatives based on scope established with the sector and global teams
  • Guarantee solutions with high level of quality and security, focused on minimal to no-impact on production
  • Resource Management for proposal feasibility, project planning and execution, using internal and external resources based on the flow of requirements using Vendor enablement
  • Manage Partners and vendors and ensure a strategic relationship is in place to deliver solutions to meet business requirements
  • Works closely with Portfolio and project management to establish appropriate governance and tracking structures to ensure projects deliver on plan, time and budget
  • Escalates high impact issues related to project delivery (infrastructure) to Director of Delivery and relevant IT Leads
  • Ensures delivered applications and projects are successfully transferred to sustain, with appropriate support structures and resources in place
  • Establish and operate continuous delivery, deployment, monitoring and improvement capabilities within the functional space
  • Guarantee solutions stability based on agreed SLAs within IT and the business
  • Leads functional agenda including sustain L3+ and projects for all SAP and tightly integrated applications within the functional domain
  • Owns solution enhancement, optimization, expansion, and TCO reduction
  • Participates in defining the strategic vision for PGCS IT and translates that vision into 3-5 year strategic plans and annual operating plans for domain
  • Establishes and enforces sector governance process and tools standards for the assigned SAP function and ensures sector level compliance.
  • Reviews solution designs with Enterprise Architecture team to ensure compliance with global standards.
  • Coordinates the contract and vendor management related activities within the sector complying with global guidelines
  • Mentor and grow the skillset of the Business/IT Analysts whilst acting as a functional escalation point
  • Ensures effective resource utilization across the workgroup
  • Connects to consumers and customers and/or peers at other companies
  • Stays up-to-date with technology and industry trends by proactively participating in training, self-study, conferences, webcasts, user group participation, reading or other relevant means

Qualifications

Essential Skills:-

  • The ideal candidate will have/be:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent required.
  • 10+ years of hand-on SAP configuration skills in one or more of the functional areas – Forecast to Schedule, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report etc.
  • 10+ years of related IT business work experience, experience managing a team with the ability to develop teams and cultivate talent, and focus on commercial processes
  • Agile, DevOps or DevSecOps
  • Knowledge of integration points on SAP SD, PP, MM, APO/IBP, FI-CO, BPC applications/modules and related business processes
  • Knowledge and experience in following tools and processes are nice to have: SAP Solution Manager, SAP ChaRM, ITIL tools/processes and production support
  • Strategic and analytical thinker
  • Excellent communicator, comfortable managing the expectations of customers as well as senior management and internal technical staff
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills, an ability to create, communicate and support a common vision and direction
  • Third party Vendor Management expertise
  • Solid Understanding of Finance and Accounting processes and its relations with other key business processes for a Consumer Goods type Company

  • Experience in CPG Industry Preferred
