Software & Control department develops Programmable Logic Controllers, Modules, Human Machine Interfaces, and Software solutions.

You will join to Hardware Team in Software & Control department which is responsible for important Rockwell Automation products such as Control Logix and PanelView devices. Our engineers are working in teams and cooperate, on daily basis, with engineers across multiple disciplines (e.g., mechanical, ASIC/FPGA development, embedded software), project managers, product marketing, manufacturing and quality organizations.

We are looking experienced Hardware Engineer who will lead development activity on assigned Rockwell Automation product. You will have a great chance to participate in development process for almost whole product lifecycle from schematics modification through tests and validation, till cooperation with manufacturing team. This would be big opportunity to increase Your technical skills during work in wide range of topics associated with Hardware development. 

You will report directly to the Hardware Team Leader located in Katowice, Poland. You will work with the team in a hybrid system.

Responsibilities:

You will:

  • Work in versatile team to maintain and develop Rockwell Automation products,
  • Develop hardware – working with schematic and PCB,
  • Monitor and mitigate component obsolescence,
  • Respond to product hardware anomalies to ensure a high-quality and robust design,
  • Verify products design regarding finding of cost reduction or quality improvements,
  • Be responsible for product testing, participate in validation and verification process.

Requirements/Qualifications:

You need to have:

  • Bachelor’s/Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hardware development (preferable Power Supply designs)
  • Familiarity with PCB development (preferable with expertise in high-speed digital design or power circuits, which contain: microcontrollers, DDR memories, Ethernet, ASICs, FPGAs, Buck converters, Flyback converters).
  • Knowledge of Power Supply topologies
  • Experience developing electronic hardware systems. Desired knowledge of certification requirements, such as UL, CE, or IEC 61010.
  • Experience with electronic hardware design tools such as schematic capture (Mentor Graphics or similar), PCB design, timing analysis, and signal integrity (HyperLynx or similar).
  • Good knowledge about electronic components and circuits
  • Good command of English and Polish both verbal and written.
  • Good cooperation skills.
