Responsibilities

  • We have an immediate opening for a Senior Project Mechanical Engineer responsible for HVAC design (airside, hydronic, steam) for a wide variety of multi-disciplinary (A&E) project types, including but not limited to:
  • Mission Critical
  • Laboratories 
  • Healthcare
  • Advanced Manufacturing
  • Utility Plant and campus distribution
  • Corporate Commercial
  • Perform engineering studies for highly technical clients whose details include but are not limited to payback analyses;
  • Technical writing for engineering studies, Basis of Design documents, and narratives for a non-technical audience explaining engineering concepts to facilitate decision-making;
  • Overseeing load calculations;
  • Developing system applications;
  • Equipment sizing and calculations;
  • Coordination with teams across Page including electrical, plumbing, fire protection, architectural, structural and civil;
  • Signing and sealing contract documents;
  • Mentorship, both continual as well as presentations for in-house continuing education programs;
  • For engineering-prime projects, this role may also be responsible for Project Management. These duties will include:Client interface.
  • Generate and track project delivery schedule.
  • Develop and allocate fees for mechanical engineering work.
  • Coordinate with MEP department leads for resource allocation.
  • Tracking budgets throughout design.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering from an ABET accredited, four-year university;
  • 15+ years of engineering experience in the commercial building design and construction industry with a current Professional Engineers license in the US;
  • 5+ years of experience as the primary engineering interface with multiple clients either as a project manager or as the engineering lead;
  • Knowledge of industry trends;
  • Demonstrated experience designing to California building standards (e.g. Title 24, OSHPD);
  • Technical writing experience and proficiency;
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project;
  • Experience with REVIT and knowledge of BIM;
  • Experience with Trane Trace or IES VE Energy Modeling software;
  • Willingness to travel overnight for projects up to 10% of the time.

Base Compensation: $170,000 - $220,000

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
