Team Introduction:

The TikTok Tax team is building to work with other corporate functions on tax advisory, planning, structuring, and tax controversy. We ensure compliance with direct (corporate income tax) and indirect tax and solve tax-related issues. We are seeking a Head of Tax for our Indonesian operations specializing in international tax to be based in Jakarta. The candidate should encompass strong tax technical skills and be capable of dealing with tax audit/litigations.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage tax inquiries and handle tax audits conducted by the tax authorities;

2. Lead team in optimising end-to-end tax compliance procedures to mitigate risks and improve efficiency with coordination with other finance teams where relevant;

3. Research on tax legislation changes and assess the implications and ultimately suggest steps to manage those changes if applicable; and

4. Provide tax support on various projects, report project status and progress to management on regular basis

Qualifications

• 15 years of working experience in tax across Big 4 / MNCs i.e. TMT industry experience with experience covering Indonesian taxes;
• Qualified professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant or other industry recognised qualifications;
• Ability to clearly communicate tax technical issues to non-tax professionals;
• Effective oral and written communication skills coupled with strong problem-solving skills and a good team player; fluent communication in both Bahasa Indonesia and English is critical for the role; and
• Experienced in team management with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
