We’re hiring a Year-Round Occupational Heath & Safety Intern!

Our Interior Systems Division is looking for a Year-Round Occupational Heath & Safety Intern for its manufacturing facility in Blue Springs, MO to assists the overall Health, Safety, and Environmental department with daily activities. These duties will be accomplished in an office environment as well as field operations.

You’ll work on challenges that matter!

This job will require you to:

• Document editing and development for ISO 14001 and safety programs
• Data collection and analysis
• Development and delivery of training on various HSE topics
• Development and follow up on action items
• Research of regulations and data analysis
• Auditing of work areas and application of regulatory and company requirements
• Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction
• Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards and adherence to:

The ideal candidate…

To succeed in this position, you will ideally have:

• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to travel 5% of the time
• Current student seeking a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field

• Schedules training sessions and assists with class arrangements
• Review HSE systems for data entry and retrieves reports
