This job req is for a Senior Engineer, Photolithography, Advanced DRAM in Micron Technology, Inc. Welcome! As an Engineer in photo process development, you will be a part of groundbreaking Advanced DRAM research & development photolithography team. The position promises ample opportunities for innovation, collaboration and testing a new dimension with next generation DRAM. You will work directly with process integration and other process areas such as Wet etch, CVD, Diffusion, Metals, Dry Etch & CMP. You will work on innovative and outstanding lithography scanners & own the process roadmap to meet program and yield goals.

In this role, your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead a particular module within next generation storage device. Develop new, manufacturing friendly photolithography processes that enable the physical and electrical architecture with lithography technology, including 365, 248, and 193 immersion lithography. Engage with equipment/material vendors on new solutions to overcome process challenges.
  • Innovate new design, layout, and photolithography techniques to open a solution space for building future generations of memory devices. Review all types of literature to identify potential intellectual properties (IP) opportunities and file disclosures.
  • Use data analysis, and/or machine learning to identify root cause by correlating device failure with process conditions. Data may include critical dimension, registration, cross section, etc.
  • Document and communicate plans, status, and results of projects in written reports and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Strong skills for research and development, and ability to build manufacturing-friendly technologies.
  • Understanding of optics including the principles and application of immersion lithography, polarized illumination, and low k1 imaging.
  • Data science and programming experience/coursework are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with chemical process specific to lithography, including materials for 365, 248, and 193nm lithography.
  • Coursework or experience in photolithography and semiconductor manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience with photolithography simulation software is a plus.
  • Understanding of material properties and characterization techniques of lithography.
  • Ability to work well with others in a highly collaborative environment, as well as independently with strong sense of ownership.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).

Education and Experience:

  • Degree/Major: Candidate must possess a B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Scientific STEM (Science Technology Engineering & Math) field of study. B.S candidates need 7+ years of experience, M.S. with 4+ years of experience, or Ph.D. with 2+ years of experience.
  • Work Experience: Semiconductor Industry experience in one or more of the following areas: Semiconductor processing, Semiconductor fabrication, or nanotechnology.
