Condé Nast is seeking a Visuals Editor for Condé Nast Traveller (CNT) Germany. 

The Visuals Editor will be expected to research and commission images for print and all digital, social and video platforms in the local market, as well as contributing to global content. The successful candidate will also be responsible for building galleries, writing captions and updating content. The ability to work across markets (and time zones) is important and speed and accuracy are a must. The Visuals Editor will collaborate with CNT global visual editors to contribute to editorial stories and packages across platforms (digital, print, social, video, podcast etc). 

The successful candidate will be able to successfully and calmly juggle multiple responsibilities across print, digital and video, will have a desire to learn, experiment and explore creative ideas to drive numbers, engagement and revenue. They will be able to maintain the high visual standard for which Conde Nast Traveller is renowned. 

This role reports into the Global Visuals Director. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Research and manage all images for the website
  • Research and manage all images for CNT Germany print issues
  • Liaise with Business Affairs and the Global Content Manager over image rights
  • Management of all visual assets for digital and print 

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • A good visual aesthetic and attention to detail
  • Strong and adaptable research skills across a variety of travel, luxury and lifestyle subjects
  • Experience in using content management systems
  • An interest in or experience in video production and editing
  • An established network of photographers in Germany and beyond, as well as a robust network of contacts within the travel and luxury industries 
  • English and German language proficiency
