Job Description: 

Supports management/senior leadership to incorporate process and quality improvements in Intel's supply chain and logistics strategy. Defines material inspection methodology, conducts studies related to cost control, process control, and production yield, and implements plans and programs to optimize supply chain. Supports product long range plan development by defining nextgeneration methodology capabilities to support Intel's supply chain roadmap. Explores and benchmarks emerging technology in the industry. Contributes to Intel's future technology definition and requirements. Highlights gaps between roadmap strategy, manufacturing capability, and market demands and recommends solutions to addresses those gaps. Tracks supply demand trends, conducts root cause analysis to find opportunities for process and quality improvements, and collaborates with supply chain leads to implement solutions. Leads supplier selections for new business in partnership with commodity managers and technical/quality partners and drives product and purchase specification content to ensure commodity performance compliance. Performs alternate sourcing risk mitigation for single sourced commodities. Establishes control standards, determines KPIs, monitors performance against targets, and drives root cause analysis for supply chain issues to arrive at solutions. Drives supplier process window validation activities on critical process modules through all stages of development. Drives supplier improvements on quality, reliability, yield, and cost. Maintains quality standards and systems, creating relevant specifications to minimize variability and subjectivity to align with operational capability requirements. Leads quality excursion management and drives failure mode analysis with suppliers. As a principal engineer, recognized as a domain expert who influences and drives technical direction across Intel and industry. Develops and mentors other technical leaders, grows the community, acts as a change agent, and role models Intel values. Aligns organizational goals with technical vision, formulates technical strategy to deliver leadership solutions, and demonstrates a track record of relentless execution in bringing products and technologies to market. More specifically, this job role requires leadership in develop Intel 5-generation logic technology roadmap for our Fab Equipment Sourcing group. The detailed tasks include, but not limited, to the following: - Compile supplier learnings from Rest-of-World to feed into 5Gen process as well as technical reviews with LTD/CR. - Compile supplier information on short-, medium- and long-term roadmaps - Work with LTD/CR to ensure annual 5Gen refresh and IP strategies - Share 5Gen roadmap with suppliers and compile gaps to supplier roadmaps - Report back to GSEM/LTD on gaps and align on strategies and plans to address - Building off 5Gen and structural cost targets, partner with LTD technical leads and GSEM functional areas to generate selection planning to address both technical and cost targets for upcoming nodes in alignment with NorthStar. - Build off learnings from prior node performance to drive future node strategy

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications: - Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science or a related field is required. Ph.D. degree is preferred. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with a strong focus on technology development and, or customization. - Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and platforms, with experience in high volume manufacturing. - Excellent leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaboration. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in technology development and high volume manufacturing - Experience working directly with semiconductor equipment and/or materials suppliers. - Experience working on a technology roadmap to bring research projects to high-volume manufacturing. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

US, California:$162,600.00-$284,620.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
