Job description:

  • Manage implementation of pricing and commercial strategies within Polish trading organization areas (Domestic and Export).


  • Act as focal point for Customers, External partners (e.g. Banks, Financial institution), and Internal organization (Business owners, ESC Warsaw, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Supply sites etc.)


  • Manage Polish trading organization working capital by balancing credit risk and support to the affiliates & field offices.


  • Collaborate closely with the local commercial and finance teams to optimize the collection performance while monitoring constantly the risks.


  • Provide financial analysis support to management of assigned country to enable achieving performance targets, with a specific focus on pricing


  • Work with local commercial and finance teams to support business opportunities implementation in Polish trading organization area
  • On-board or phase out customers in a timely manner
  • Negotiate and influence contractual terms with a partner including implementation of appropriate securitization terms and conditions
  • Manage commercial contracts by:
  • Creating and maintaining a database of commercial conditions for the Polish trading organization to ensure appropriate controls and governance
  • Assessing contractual terms vs business model to ensure compliance with legal and corporate guidelines
  • Ensuring customers have a valid and appropriate for business model agreement
  • Implementing necessary amendments/modifications to agreements in a timely manner
  • Aligning legal department and business owners on legal related topics and documentation
  • Manage Pricing, Rebates, Credit Notes, Free Goods, Commissions etc by:
  • Ensuring implemented prices and commercial conditions are aligned with the contractual obligations
  • Implementing rebate agreements in SAP, manual accruals, reconciliation of accruals status on regular basis in timely manner
  • Reviewing and improving rebate system structure for a market/customer to maximize leverage while ensuring compliance with corporate policies
  • Keeping stakeholders updated on appropriate contractual status
  • Performing timely settlement of rebate agreements
  • Partnering with sales area personnel (Management, Sales, Fin&Ops, Supply Chain) to ensure successful implementation of tactical plans
  • Support and provide timely guidance to appropriate CEE markets teams to contribute to business continuation and development
  • Contribute to credit management activities by:
  • Ensuring consistency of credit management approach across the regions and business areas
  • Seeking continuous enhancement of credit processes
  • Develop, roll out and maintain operational procedures aligned with applicable regulations, policies and procedures (Permanent Establishment, GMP/Finance, FRAP, Trade Sanctions, Anti-Boycott, SOX etc.)
  • Perform financial planning, regular evaluation and analysis of financial performance indicators to assigned countries/regions
  • Monthly consolidate, analyze and communicate to appropriate Commercial Finance Director the financial performance indices
  • Lead small to mid-sized scale projects based on set objectives

Required skills, experience and education:

  • Sound experience in commercial finance and trade finance (preferable in export environment)
  • Understanding of macro and micro economics and their implication in export markets
  • Sound problem framing and structured solving skills
  • Ability to influence affiliate to take action and adjust pricing and commercial conditions when necessary
  • Ability to analyze financial statements
  • Solid understanding of the most common risk mitigating tools
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Attention to details
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, respect deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to a multi-cultural and complex environment
  • Willing to challenge/streamline processes
  • Sound analytical skills and strong in planning and organization – get things done
  • Fluent English
  • Advanced level of data analysis skills, reporting consolidation and forecasting
  • Advanced level of MS Excel; MS SharePoint sites, Powerapps are advantages
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Business Objects)

Preferred skills experience and education

  • Strong learning agility
  • University degree, preferably in economics or business administration
  • Commercial, Finance and/or Accounting educational background will be a plus
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Positive attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Project Management experience
