In order to keep Marmon Industrial Energy & Infrastructure aligned with their company goals, the Vice President of Strategic Marketing will oversee Group Innovation & Strategic Marketing strategies and partner with Sales Segments to help execute Strategic Marketing & Innovation initiatives. The ideal candidate is experienced with a bias towards innovation and bridging organizational cultures to bring forward a collaborative offering in the market. A successful candidate is highly professional, driven, and should play a significant role in the strategic planning of Marmon IEI’s’ future with an emphasis on brand image. The position reports to the President.

Essential Duties:

  • Select, develop, and lead a professional marketing and pricing team to meet or exceed specific goals for profitable revenue growth.
  • Provide leadership to the organization in implementing objectives that appropriately reflect the group’s goals.
  • Fosters an organization that promotes continuous process improvement.
  • Implements operational metrics and KPI’s to continually improve effectiveness of marketing programs, tactics, and strategy.
  • Presents a marketing plan for product launches, marketing campaigns, social media relations, e-commerce content, events, and shoots.
  • Provides strategy insights to ensure all creative assets and marketing campaigns support brand values.
  • Directs market research data collection, analysis and interpretation of market data for market forecasts and reports.
  • Collaborates with the sales department to align sales and marketing strategies.
  • Promote and strengthen brand image of Marmon IEI and all product lines.
  • Work with Commercial and Marmon IEI Leadership team to identify market opportunities; specifically helping with marketing analysis and intelligence.
  • Develops a marketing budget following organizational goals with the President/VP Finance
  • Obtains sales forecast and regularly reports on progress toward marketing goals.
  • Learn, deploy & train leaders on Marmon Strategic marketing and innovation tools and processes.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution; Master is in business administration (MBA), or equivalent industry experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in sales operations, business planning and/or marketing.
  • A minimum of 15 years of business-to-business sales experience is required, with at least 5 years of management experience for global, and national markets.
  • Must excel in strengthening and promoting brand image

Knowledge and Skills Preferred:

  • Passport and ability to travel domestically and international.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • High level of financial and business acumen
  • Ability to use technology and analysis tools (Excel, Outlook, web, databases)
  • Executive presence to influence senior decision makers

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work long hours in a sedentary position sitting, talking, looking at a computer, charts/graphs and performing repetitive motions.
  • Ability to move objects and materials of at least 25lbs.
  • Ability to collaborate with manufacturing team members as needed in an environment that can be noisy.
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE when onsite.
  • Frequent travel, up to 50% is required.
