About the Role

Product Marketing is responsible for developing crisp, highly differentiated, and compelling positioning and messaging for Cloudflare and its services. We tell Cloudflare’s most important and interesting stories to educate customers about what is possible when you connect, protect and build with Cloudflare.

Cloudflare is searching for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to drive our Public Sector business. We are looking for insightful and energetic marketer to build and market our compelling solution narratives that capture the full set of capabilities offered by the breadth of our solution offerings. Join us and you'll define and execute messaging and positioning for FED/SLED and Education sectors, and produce compelling technical content and programming that breaks new ground in areas of security and compliance. 

The right candidate will be highly analytical and bring deep security and compliance marketing experience to the public sector Product Marketing team. 

  • Become a recognized and respected thought leader by advancing the Cloudflare’s narrative, by building and sharing thought provoking content, at customer events, conferences, webinars, sales meetings, and with analysts and the press
  • Thoroughly understand public sector market, their needs, use cases, buyer personas and their journeys, to build persuasive, differentiated messaging, content and assessments
  • Develop marketing plans, working closely with sales, product marketing, demand generation, web/digital, field and customer marketing to create industry-leading experiences to generate a healthy pipeline and customer expansion
  • Train and enable a growing sales organization and other channel sellers to amplify Cloudflare’s messaging and differentiation
  • Identify metrics, including influenced pipeline, share of voice, and drive regular communication on progress for the GTM team. 
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on projects to drive alignment, execution and business results.

Qualifications 

  • Minimum 7 years in US public sector marketing role in $1B+ BtoB technology organization in cybersecurity or networking. Direct experience in Federal, State & Local, and Education market segments is a huge plus.
  • Outstanding intellect, drive and interpersonal skills are paramount.
  • High sense of urgency and entrepreneurial work ethic required to drive business outcomes. 
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of cloud, security, enterprise SaaS/software or networking.
  • Ability to creatively message technical security concepts to a broad audience of customers and prospects. Public Sector experience with global scope is a plus (e.g. applying US based programs and best-practices to other countries, as well as collaborating with geo teams
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills, obsessive attention to detail. 
  • Confident presenter, on stage, video, webinars. 
  • Analytical with a creative mind, able to juggle and prioritize multiple projects. 
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships across multiple stakeholders. 
  • Team player, ready to go above and beyond to ensure team success. 
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Communications, Engineering or other related fields

Compensation

Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.

  • For Colorado-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $159,000 - $195,000
  • For New York City, Washington, and California (excluding Bay Area) based hires: Estimated annual salary of $164,000 - $200,000
  • For Bay Area-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $172,000 - $210,000
